Advice to Students:
If you find yourself uncertain about your direction after graduation, consider reaching out to adults you know, or even acquaintances of friends, and ask if they’d be willing to meet for a half-hour conversation about careers. Ask them to share what they do, what they enjoy, what they find challenging, and what a typical day looks like. You may be surprised by how many people are happy to talk about their work, and how much insight a meaningful conversation can offer compared to browsing online. Plus, you’ll start building a network of helpful contacts without even realizing it. And don’t forget to follow up with a simple thank-you note, it goes a long way.
