Dr. Jennifer Son (she/her) is a dedicated Breast Surgical Oncologist committed to providing compassionate, cutting-edge care to patients facing breast cancer. After earning her medical degree from Boston University, she completed a rigorous five-year general surgery residency in Chicago, IL, where she developed a passion for breast oncology and medical education. She then completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at UCSF. Each day, she works to cure breast cancer through skilled surgical treatment, thoughtful clinical decision-making, and personalized patient support. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Son is an enthusiastic educator who teaches medical students and residents, shaping the next generation of surgeons with a focus on excellence, empathy, and curiosity. She is also actively engaged in research, frequently presenting her work at regional and national conferences. Recently, Dr. Son expanded her mission of empowerment by authoring a children’s book designed to help young girls envision themselves as physicians and surgeons.
