Dr. Jeb Weisman (he/him) is Director of Global Health Informatics at the Arnhold Institute for Global Health and Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He supports Mount Sinai’s consultancy for the Guyana Ministry of Health as the Digital Health Lead, where he drives national digital health initiatives. His work includes developing AI in health governance, creating training symposia from AI to data fundamentals, creating the Guyana Digital Health Training Institute, and the Digital Health Service Corps. Dr. Weisman recently led strategic planning for government research centers in Ghana and health planning in Nepal. He is also a senior researcher at the SmartLab at University College Dublin, where he participates in applied research and advises doctoral students. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Weisman served as Chief Information Officer for the Children’s Health Fund, was a faculty member in the Department of Sociomedical Sciences at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, and led creative consumer informatics projects at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.

Craft an honest vocational narrative. Draw on your experiences to build a genuine story that reflects your values, struggles, and growth. Don’t let generative AI speak for you. If you rely on AI, you will lose your unique voice and intelligence, making a case for AI to replace you. Practice empathy. Understand and connect with others’ perspectives, and lead with compassion in all your interactions.
