Christian Gehres (he/him) is a Corporate and Investment Banking Associate at TD Securities. Christian works in the financial institutions vertical, with a focus on insurance, specialty finance, payment processing, and alternative asset managers. He began his professional career at TD during the summer of 2021, where he interned in Global Markets, joining the team full-time post-grad in early 2022. Christian spent time working on the Cowen acquisition and integration as an analyst in an integration and strategy team with senior management to close the acquisition, divest of non-core businesses acquired via Cowen, and work towards realizing synergies between the two firms. Christian joined the FIG team in 2024 and has worked on numerous high-yield offerings, contingent liquidity solutions, acquisition financings, and syndicated lending deals.
Advice to Students:
Take your time to enjoy Vassar—you only have four years as an undergraduate student, so enjoy the time that you have. However, make sure that you are taking full advantage of all of the resources that Vassar provides you with. Get involved in clubs, take advantage of office hours, use the career center for resume help, etc., in order to gain a better understanding of what your next steps after Vassar are going to be, because life comes at you quickly once your four years are over.
