Ricky Wang (she/her) is an Insights & Strategy Manager at brand consultancy Finch Brands. She uses behavioral science to understand what consumers truly think, value, and consider in their decision-making, helping brands connect in meaningful ways. She consults with consumer-facing brands that touch all aspects of consumers’ lives, from the spices and condiments in a kitchen to swimming pools in a backyard, and also helps B2B organizations navigate mergers and acquisitions. Her work often brings research into real-world settings, including, more recently, conducting consumer research at college and NFL football tailgates. Ricky is also a leader within the behavioral science community, BeScy, where she brings students and professionals from diverse disciplines together to foster collaboration and advance applied behavioral science. Born in China, she has professional experience both internationally and in the U.S., giving her a strong cross-cultural perspective on decision-making and how cultural and environmental factors shape behavior. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a correlate in economics and a master’s in Behavioral and Decision Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania.
